Picture this: you’re lying in a field of pink-hued flowers, looking up at the clear blue sky as the warm golden sun kisses your skin. It feels relaxing but electrifying at the same time. YSL has picked the best colours that represent Spring and added an air of mystique to give us a dreamy collection this season.

Let’s go through this collection slowly so that we can admire its beauty.

The limited edition Lip Palette Collector contains 5 creamy shades that range from a light cool pink to a classic red. The shades have different finishes from glossy to sheer, allowing you to create the perfect lip look for every occasion. The great thing about a lip palette is that the possibilities are endless! You may choose to wear the colours on their own or layer them to create a unique look just for your lips.

We remember when people thought blue eyeshadow would never work out but the colour has made a strong comeback in recent years and is the star of the limited edition YSL Couture Palette Collector.

You can opt for a more subtle look with a muted blue or go heavier with a midnight blue for a smokey touch. Using a wide eyeshadow brush, we would swipe the beautiful solar gold across our eyelids to add a little warmth. But if you’re looking for something bolder, pack it on to contrast the electric blues. As your last step, add a pop of gold in the inner corner of your eyes with the new highly-pigmented Couture Eyeliner in Or Radical to finish the bold look.

If you desire more glitter on your eyes, layer some lustrous Full Metal Shadows in Junky Tangerine for a warm glow or opt for Fantasy Blue for a cooler eye look.

This collection also adds two new bright shades to the range of super moisturising Rouge Volupté Shine lipsticks. They’re luminous, comfortable to wear and definitely a must-have, if you ask us. The names are perfect for the shades: Fuchsia In Fury is a raspberry red that magically wears as pink and red at the same time while Coral In Craze is a beautiful coral with just a tinge of neon, resulting in a brighter and more fun colour.

Now that we’ve covered the eyes and lips, let’s move on to the final members of the collection: the La Laque Couture nail polish. Two new psychedelic shades have been added to the line and they’re the perfect way to round up our look at YSL’s Spring Look 2018. Go for Kinetic Blue to complement your blue eyeshadow or choose the bright Pop Art Coral for a pink manicure fit for Spring.

We just love the shades of pinks and blues in this collection and the addition of the warm golden hues just reminds us of the sun finally coming out in Spring! Okay, technically we don’t have the 4 seasons here in Singapore but we did have our mini “winter” over the past week and now that it’s getting warmer, we definitely feel like the golds in this palette are akin to the sun coming back out to greet us.
