Miuccia Prada’s second line, Miu Miu, is a playful one with a touch of rebellion. The sister brand explores the edges of fashion and to follow whims, and be intelligently frivolous. The first Miu Miu Eau de Parfum encapsulated a sense of feminine youth, freedom, and a touch of rebellion. And at last, the Miu Miu fragrance family has welcomed its newest member to embody the rich complexity of the brand’s vision once more.
For the Miu Miu L’Eau Bleue campaign, actress Stacy Martin reprises her starring role as the face of Miu Miu L’Eau Bleue fragrance, and is reunited with photographer Steven Meisel. Donned in a patterned blue dress as she holds an innocent gaze, the actress captures the essence of Miu Miu woman. The fragrance is presented in the brand’s signature matelassé flacon topped with a crowning disk that’s now rendered a gentle yellow, and the scent is housed in a crystalline-blue glass bottle.
Concocted by perfumer Daniela Andrier, Miu Miu L’eau Bleue arrives in time to capture the bloom of early spring, and it’s here to literally put a spring in your step. The dewy burst of spring is represented in this perfume with, surprisingly, the leaf of lily-of-the-valley, and not its flower. The light and delicate quality of the sappy scent is balanced with the earthy Akigalawood which first stole the show in the first Miu Miu fragrance as a modern version of patchouli. It removes patchouli of its musky trait and leaves it sweeter and spicier in nature – perfect for warmer weather, which happens to be our weather all year round.
Miu Miu L’Eau Bleue collection will be available from March 2017 at Metro at Paragon Shopping Centre, Robinsons The Heeren, Sephora, Tangs at Tang Plaza and Takashimaya. $35 for 10ml (exclusive to Sephora), $103 for 30ml (exclusive to Miu Miu boutiques), $147 for 50ml, and $176 for 100ml.
