You’re probably familiar with succulents as indestructible desert plants that are perfect for us lazy human beings to look after. We’re no strangers to this plant that has nestled their way into our homes and straight into our hearts. We love seeing these little greens sitting pretty in random areas of our spaces, which is why this brand new take on succulents has us smitten and honestly, slightly confused in equal measure.
Have a look at these succulent nails, the botanical manicure trend that is slowly taking over our feeds (and our lives).
These modest lil’ plants have sprung out of flower pots and now you can literally grow them on your nails. You read that right. Australian artist Roz Borg developed a technique which allows the plants to not only live on your nail beds – they’ll thrive, too. The baby plants are first glued to fake nails before they’re attached to your actual nails. So, as your nails grow, you can watch these mini succulents grow with them all at the same time. And after the glue loses its adhesiveness, you can simply plant the succulent as usual.
Well, if you’ve been looking for a new way to proudly display your love of this plant, or all plants in general, then this might be the answer to your needs.
